So today a good friend pointed out that I have not written ANYTHING in my blog for over a year. Not even ramblings that do nobody any good.. but actually not any piece of information has been written.
Well that will change NOW!
Its summer again (I love that time of year don't you?) and I just went to see Sound of Music last night (so fabulous) and have decided I'm going to start singing again (fabulous). My one best friend is in kiwi-land, another has broken her ribs, a third has disappeared since tuesday (as in, I can't find her.. not that she has actually gone missing), and a fourth is the reason I started this blog.
So.. Matt and I have moved in together, he has graduamated.. I leave for Europe in two weeks (scary stuff!) for 12 days.. and then I'm home for the summer. I do not have anything really special to say right now.. except Hello! and.. Im back.
PS. I am not that cool. hahah but you love it anyways
PPS. I am attempting to grow a little balcony garden with the help of my mom.. we will see how it goes. I may have to post pictures.

Sunshine and Summertime
Heyyyyyy!
Things are going pretty fabulously around here -- weather is good, work could be better but is good because of the guy who consistently gives me coffee and because if I wasn't being challenged I would be bored -- and I'm enjoying spending time with people!
Yay for long weekends. Last Monday (aka two days ago) I had a PD day and then next Monday is Victoria Day plus I get Friday off because I'm taking it! Bwahaha. My room is still messy but that is because my old desk is still blocking off my closet so I have nowhere to put anything -- at least there is a floor.
This weekend I plan on writing letters to people/calling people to catch up. For those of you who are too far away for me to call, I'm waving enthusiastically (pretend you can see from your respective locations in Korea, New Zealand and Japan okay?)
Hairspray was fabulous - the actors messed up on stage and made everyone laugh. The parents of the main character are played by two male actors -- despite one of the parents being female, and there was a joke about equipment size and the one actor (who was an understudy) playing the female parent just cracked up on stage... for about a minute (just long enough to be funny and then he pulled himself together to continue). Thats why I love live theatre there are so many real moments incorporated into it.
Well, thats all for now. I'm heading up North for the long weekend so I hope you all enjoy the sun, fireworks and time off (even those of you not celebrating Victoria Day.. I hope you enjoy your day regardless)

I suppose despite the fact that nobody reads this its worth updating for some sort of purpose... mainly because I enjoy writing and telling people what's going on. There are a few new things in my life and lots of cleaning out of the old and I'm feeling pretty good about this summer.
My birthday is coming up, I'm going to be 20 which is scary in itself but also really kind of cool. I have been thinking about everything thats happened in my life (so far) and how much I've grown and I can pretty much pinpoint the spots in my life where something happened to trigger some sort of change -- i'm not looking for it per say but I am finding out little things about myself I never really used to know.
My Fridays and Saturdays are consisting of time spent with family and friends which is so awesome. Yesterday I went to volunteer at my Mom's school with Bingo night and Lisa came to help -- it was awesome just to sit and play Bingo and call numbers and hang out with someone. We had one of our good chats on the way home -- I love talking to Lisa, she's fabulous.
Tonight I'm going to see Hairspray with the other Lisa from camp -- its going to be great. Worth the money I shouldn't be spending.
Other than that I have been spending my summer so far doing exactly what I said I would be doing, which is making life happy, fun, and worthwhile. I've been going to the gym and exercising or running almost every day (with the exception of the day I felt so gross and sick this week) and I am working full time at an elementary school with two children who don't quite qualify for BTA assistance (thats Behavioural Teaching Assistant) which is such a challenge but so rewarding. It doesn't pay nearly as much as my job last year but I wouldn't give it up at all.
I am learning the guitar and the flute, playing the piano and singing as much as possible. I am also reading like mad. For anybody who does read this I highly recommend the book "The Girls" by Lori Lansens. Its about a pair of siamese twins who are joined at the back of the head. Its fictional but written as the girls autobiography -- its fabulous and if you're looking for a summer read to get lost in that isn't pure smut (what I was reading prior to that) -- read this book.
Today I'm going to the library to get started on my Time's book list and I'm excited about that too. I still have to clean and redecorate but those are in the process of happening. I'm also playing the Wii and watching DVD's when I don't have any more energy and that is good as well.
So basically -- I'm having a great summer so far and really feel like I'm cleaning out the mess that was created last year by invisible forces! I want to have my head and my wits about me when I go to don's camp in the fall.

PS:
There is a nest of robins in my front yard just above where I park my car. I've been having to get out on the passenger side but that's okay because the babies were born yesterday -- they're adorable and I hope they survive! Also, there is a mutant tulip in my Mom's garden. It's exactly half yellow and half red. Not mixed together but one half is one colour and the other is another... its kind of cool. I'll put a picture up next time I write.
Well, I'm off to the library and then to Toronto so I hope you are all healthy and happy and getting what you want out of your summer. Jess, I hope Chicoutimi is treating you well and good luck with the French!!!

Summmmmerrrrrrrr
I'm finally all moved back, now I just have to tackle cleaning my room and ensuring that everything is set up for my employment on Monday and then I'm good to go for summer jobs and such. It's going to be a tiring summer but an enjoyable one I feel.
Yesterday my brother's choir won first in Canada on the CBC Radio2 competition, I was part of the live audience and they were incredible. They totally deserved to win!! I was very impressed.
I got a build-a-bear or should I say a build-a-cheetah!! He's so cool.
Anyways, there isn't much going on right now -- off to Hamilton today to visit Ayden and Logan! I love those two (they are 3 and the second one is turning 1 on Friday or Saturday!) They are so much fun to play with.
I hope you are all doing well, keep in touch via facebook or whatnot cause I'm boycotting msn this summer.

one more exam
Hey everyone;
There is one more exam standing in between me and summer and it is SO difficult to study for it! You think it would be easy considering that the three essay topics were given to us (and we only have to write on two of them), as well as the fact that after its done summer is here -- that should MOTIVATE me...
alas, it doesnt.
I have been seeing so many of my favourite people lately. I have been spending a lot of time with friends who I may not see all summer, and thats nice.
Anyways -- as much as I am looking forward to summer I will miss the non living with family part of it -- however, i miss my family. Can't have it both ways!
Here is to an incredible, fun-filled summer.

In Addition...
In addition... I got a smoothie from Baskin Robbins and the guy (who has known me since I was three) made me a sugar-free smoothie instead of the regular one.. and charged me less. It just made life that much better.

Hello!!
Today is BEAUTIFUL... I am quite content this afternoon, unlike this morning and all of yesterday.
Stupid yesterday, I won't waste too much time on it but basically I have to get my wisdom teeth out and had a pointless consultation (where they thought I was an emergency) due to a misunderstanding... and then had to leave Toronto in rush hour. It sounds not bad.. but with all the pain and looking in my mouth for three hours and x-rays and moulds it was awful. I promise.
But, putting all that aside, other than waking up at 6am this morning, life is good. I went to my new job and got lots of the forms filled out -- I went to my Mom's school and had lunch with her and played secretary and then I came home and went for a walk.
The cutest part was when I was just heading to my Mom's school and I was walking up the drive and a kid comes up to me and goes "ms. principal's daughter... have you seen my classmate?" and I was like "no... why?" Turns out, the kid had "lost" his friend who had to go to the bathroom. Poor guy he was really worried, but I thought it was quite hilarious that he chose to ask me instead of the teachers outside. Anyways, we found her, she had gone back to class, but it was a cute moment.
I'm heading outside to study mood disorders and suicide -- I'm hoping the sunlight will counteract the morose topic. Hope all is well and none of you have had disastrous dentist appointments lately.
